I was feeling just like Sally Field getting her Oscar when I got the note from Heidi of Living to thrive chronic illness Blog telling me she had nominated me for a Versatile Blogger Award. Seriously, having only been blogging since November, I really feel special that someone likes my blog enough to recognize it. Thanks Heidi. If you hadn’t chosen my blog you would have been one of the first on my list!
So, while there is no actual award, there are rules. And they are good ones too! I have to tell you a little bit about me and then I get to name off some of my favourite blogs.
- Post the award on your blog
- Thank the person who nominated you

- Nominate 15 blogs
- List the nominees and let them know

Wow, that’s a lot of work! But very fulfilling because I got to go over some of my fav’s. If I didn’t get you on my list, it is because I could only pick 15!
Congratulations on your Versatile Bloggers ward, dear Lydia!
I want to thank you so much for choosing me as one of your nominees. I’m honored! As it is a lot of work to fulfill any blog award requirements, just like you noted, I’ve stopped accepting awards. I should probably post that somewhere on my blog like others do – please forgive me for not doing it yet. However, I must say you totally made my day with your choosing me and for your kind words.
I wish you the absolute best and I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks again!

Thanks, Dyane, for your beautiful reply. I totally understand and do not feel slighted in the least. I don’t think if I get another one I will be able to put so much energy into it. But it did make me feel good at a time when I needed it. I love both of your names. My best friend from high school was named Dyane (yes, spelled that way). We lost her to a drunk driver about 10 years ago. I wish you all the best and hope you may continue to enjoy my blog as I know I will yours. Lydia

Wow – what a coincidence about your friend Dyane – I’m so sorry about her passing away. Thanks again for your sweet support!!! It’s extra-special coming from a Lydia! 😉
