I Need A Vacation…

No, I am not going anywhere, nor do I want to. I am not really taking a staycation either. However, I will be taking a break from my blog for awhile. Hopefully it won’t be too long, but I just can’t seem to write about anything.

I wrote a post awhile back called “Stripping Naked” where I talked about the fact that I am baring my soul in this blog. I stated that if I didn’t have anything to say, I would take a break and that is exactly what is happening.

I have almost a dozen drafts started from the last month and I just can’t seem to get motivated to finish them, or fix them if that is what they need.

I will still be around, reading the wonderful blogs I have been following, and hopefully I will be still jotting down those drafts until something clicks.

I want to get my office finally in shape as well as set up a space for Kay’s kids and Emma when they stay over. I have also been concentrating on my physical and mental health, which both need some TLC. My pain levels have been high, I am still getting every cold and flu bug that is going around, and my moods have been going up and down a lot as well.

Please don’t forget about me – as I said, I am not going anywhere. And hopefully if I am not straining myself to find something to write about it will come naturally when I am ready. Or better still, when God is ready to give me something to say.

  1. Blessings and prayers, Lydia. Sometimes, we just need to recharge. The words will come when they are ready. God has a way of pouring the unexpected in us when we rest in Him. Looking forward to more from you when the time is right!

    1. Thanks, Moongazer, I knew you would understand. I do have a post to write for a friend but it will have to wait until these flu symptoms go away. Yesterday Monkey slept on my lap for a little while – I was covered up in a blanket and she loves blankets! And Violet has been keeping a close watch on me too! Aren’t furkids the best!

      1. They really are 😀 Tis a wonderful thing to be loved by an animal, especially when they show it. I’m glad you’ve had them with you while you’re poorly.
I always feel its so unfair to get flu on top of FM. We feel rotten enough most of the time as it is (((hugs)))
Is your husband taking good care of you?

      2. He has been sick this weekend as well, but yes, he always takes wonderful care of me. I agree – as FM sufferers are immune systems are low and we catch all these other things on top of already feeling crappy. Thanks for the hugs!

    1. Thanks, Kitt. I already feel a weight lifted – not the weight of NOT writing, but not trying to force it. I can enjoy other aspects of my life and reading other people’s blogs without the guilt of not producing posts! 🙂

      1. I tend to feel guilty for not reading and commenting on enough posts, but I only have so much time. I spend an inordinate amount of time online to the detriment of my house – actually, I hate housework, so I suppose I’m just avoiding it altogether.
