I joined a new online group today, “Lose It!” I figured it had to be good because it starts with an “L” and ends with an “!” (as in Lydia!). It was suggested by the wonderful Dyane of “Birth of a New Brain“. I have just started with the free package for now, as I often have problems sticking with a plan thanks to all my disorders.
I have just started with the free package for now, as I often have problems sticking with a plan thanks to all my disorders. By saying that I am not trying to set myself up for failure. I have learned to be a realist when it comes to my life – I take it one day at a time.
So far, it is quite straight forward. I set up a user account and then recorded what I ate today and what exercise I did. I couldn’t do an actual weigh-in as the battery in the scale was dead when I tried. But I think I am safe using my weight from last week. It calculated that I want to lose 64 pounds and doing it safely it will take me to February 2017. That’s okay. It has taken me awhile to put it on and I just can’t do anything too fast these days.
It feels good that I will have a group and accountability on my side. Losing weight is a very difficult thing for me because when I am so heavy I have a hard time loving myself and I turn to food – that vicious circle. This time, I am just reminding myself how much healthier I will be.
I hope to share my journey with you. However, don’t worry, I won’t be documenting every calorie, step, etc. here. I’ll pick out some good highlights along the way. I am just glad I have people who I feel comfortable sharing with.

Thank you. If it takes longer, that is totally fine with me. That was just what they calculated. My main goal is to feel better – looks and everything else will just be a bonus! 🙂

I heard a podcaster say when she started thinking about diet and exercise in terms of doing what her body was meant to do it helped her stay consistent. Do it because you deserve to care for yourself. Hope that helps.
