Happy International Day of Peace

“Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.”  – John F. Kennedy

Today, September 21st, is the International Day of Peace, which was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981. In 2001 the General Assembly designated it as a period of non-violence and ceasefire.

At noon, in every time zone around the world, people are encouraged to take a moment for prayer/meditation for peace and goodwill.

“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” – Mother Teresa

I wish everyone a happy and peaceful day.
