It has been over a week since I posted anything here.
“Why?” You ask.
The answer is simple and complicated at the same time.
Simple – I haven’t had the energy to sit and pull the ideas out of my brain and into the computer.
Complicated – I have been trying to work on my advocacy site and not getting anywhere with it. That combined with the fact that since I had to stop my premium WP package and my domain name changed I have lost viewers, I feel like I am back where I started two years ago.
I started a few posts, tried to catch up reading blogs I follow but just could not get back into the blogging groove. Migraines and cold/flu symptoms have not helped. Add to that a personal matter that ripped me to the core and challenged my faith and I just had no desire ability to read or write.
So, what am I doing about it?
- “Being Lydia” is my passion, so I have decided to put the advocacy site (“Chronically Speaking”) on the back burner for now until a clear concept comes to me. I will still have the Facebook Group and Twitter account as the ideas will hopefully come from there.
- I am going back to what my coach, Hubby and friends keep reminding me – my full time job is looking after my health.
- While it is great getting out and doing things again, winter is not my best season and I will really need to make wise choices.
- I need to set times for writing, reading, etc. Even if that means writing down ideas so that I can expand on them during the appropriate time slot. While I want to get something published, I certainly do not want to jeopardize quality for quantity. I am not a “write on demand” kind of person.
So, hang in there my awesome readers, I will be sharing more of what it is like to be Lydia before you know it!
Oh, and just know that it is not and never has been about “views”. It is and always will be about sharing what it is to be me in hopes that I touch even one life.
Lydia!
This is so lovely and heartfelt. I wish you wellness and peace; clarity and time to do the things you want to do. x

I’m not an on demand writer either. I write whatever’s there. I didn’t know you had a Facebook group btw. I looked for it on your page, but I couldn’t find it. I’d love to check it out. 🙂

Hey there Lydia!
It is just normal that you prioritize your health, and your everyday life 🙂 Take good care of you, and I’ll be waiting for your next posts when you’re ready to write again, wether it is tomorrow, in a week or a month 🙂

Awe, thanks, Cyranny! I always love your comments. I think that if I just stick to the one site – this one, I will be better off.

Take good care of yourself, Lydia! The thoughts and ideas will come. Sometimes it helps me to give myself a break from writing and then ideas start to flow. Or at least trickle 😉 But like you said, the most important thing is your health. xx

Maybe you are being overly critical. I enjoyed the post immensely. It is real. It is honest. Personal. And lets your readers see your thoughts about what’s going on with your page. 🙂
