Day 14
It goes without saying I have had a tough year, especially in the last couple of months.
I have had to make some difficult relationship decisions and have been battling more than my usual share of pain, infections, and general poor health. I have felt the grip I have fought so hard to acquire on my emotional and mental well-being start slipping from my fingers.
And just when I am ready to slip off, things start happening.
- Someone here in the blogosphere who I have found to be kind and generous outdid themselves in both departments.
- Old followers are starting to find me again (and me them)
- A friend I have not been in touch with for over 40 years is back in my life (if only my cyber life for now) and has something that may help bring some of my health back.
- I was finally able to get some baking done – my go-to activity when I need some cheering up or grounding.
Now, really, I don’t believe in Santa Claus, but do attribute all of these positive happenings to the good Lord, whom Christmas is all about!
Lydia!

You don’t believe in Father Christmas?! Have you watched Miracle on 34th Street? (Preferably the original but 1991 is good too, forget 1973, chronic!) 😄🎄💐

I have watched all of them and the original is the best for sure.

Thank you! Yes, I am looking forward to seeing her maybe next summer as she will be down here to visit her Mom.
