Wow, it is hard to believe this the first post I have done in February, and it is already the 6th! Lots of reasons why, but the good point is I am back!
We were watching the Screen Actor’s Guild awards last weekend and Lily Tomlin was given the Lifetime Achievement Award. Two people were supposed to present it to her – that would of course be Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda. However, Jane was ill and could not make it. Dolly tried to be funny but you could tell she was nervous and felt alone up there. She was there for her friend and you could tell the bond between them was strong.
It started over 36 years ago in 1980 when the three were cast together in the hit comedy movie, “9 to 5.” Not only did the trio’s characters bond in the movie, they did in real life as well. Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda are back together starring in Netflix’s “Grace and Frankie.”
Anyway, the SAG awards got the theme song in my head and I decided I would share it with you!
Oh, there may be a discrepancy on the song and movie title. They both had the same name; however both went by “Nine to Five” or “9 To 5.”
