“I have been given these products as part of a product review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company. “
When I was selected for The Fay Farm review and able to choose two items from their vast product lines, I chose carefully. I wanted products that might make a difference in my life and in the lives of anyone who would read this review.
I ended up choosing the Warming Muscle Rub and Healing Hemp Goat Milk Soap. Now the muscle rub is probably an obvious choice because I have very sore muscles. The soap might not be such as popular choice; however, I picked it for the sole reason that I wash my hands a lot and they get very sore and stiff with regular soaps.
The Fay Farm Warming Muscle Rub
I have probably used every muscle and joint rub on the market with varying degrees of success and failure. This product is definitely different. It comes in a flat container (similar to shoe polish) and has a very thick consistency. You certainly don’t have to use very much and it rubs completely into the skin so you don’t feel oily, even on your hands! It has a very pleasant scent that doesn’t affect my allergies (not floral and not medicinal, just fresh).
Does it work?
Yes, most definitely. I have several areas of my body with different levels and types of pain. As soon as it is rubbed into my joints and muscles I feel warmth and relief. One area that is the hardest to calm down is my lower back. I have three old fractures in my lumbar region and I have had chronic pain there since an accident in 1992. I have used other products that will work everywhere but there or they give minor/short-term relief. The Fay Farm Warming Muscle Rub gives deep and lasting relief to that area which is amazing.
I would recommend this product to anyone who has a muscle pull, arthritis, or any other joint or muscle pain. And the price is very reasonable as well as $12.00 USD for 1.5 ounces. You don’t need a lot to make a big difference.
The Fay Farm Healing Hemp Goat Milk Soap
While I have had to retire from catering and baking/design, I still love to be creating in the kitchen when I feel well enough to. I also prepare our new pup’s raw food diet as this is what she was on before we adopted her. All this means a lot of hand-washing and my arthritic hands can get even stiffer and sorer.
I have found the goat milk soap to be amazing. The more I use it the better my hands feel. They don’t get as stiff and sore, nor do they dry out as easily. The fresh scent of essential oils is also very soothing.
The soap contains only the best natural ingredients including:
- Organic olive oil
- organic coconut oil
- purified water
- organic hemp oil
- organic castor oil
- organic avocado oil
- organic goat milk
- organic unrefined shea butter
- essential oils.
This is a product I will definitely continue to use. Again, at $12.00 USD for 16 oz. it is very reasonable.
I will definitely try out more Fay Farm products. Aside from using organic ingredients, I like the fact that they are just across the US/Canada border from us on Whidbey Island. While it is not the same country, it still feels very local.
